Water Treatment Systems
Do I need a water treatment system?
If you’ve noticed off-color water, cloudy water, stains
or pitting on your plumbing fixtures, or water that tastes or smells
bad, you know you have a problem and should have your water tested. Even
if you haven’t noticed any of these obvious problem signs,
water testing is the best way to find out exactly what you’re
drinking.
It’s up to you to know the condition of your well if you
have one, and to make sure it provides safe
drinking water. But even if your water comes from a public
source (“city water”) it could still contain bacteria,
viruses or other contaminants and could benefit from treatment.
What are common water treatment issues?
Common water problems in our area include hard water, low pH, bad
taste or smell from chlorine, sulfur or bacterial iron, sediment,
coliform and e-coli bacteria, and solid, dissolved and colloidal
iron. Other possible concerns are nitrates, arsenic, THMs,
VOCs, herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, gasoline additives,
phosphates, lead, radium, copper and barium.
A water test is the only way to learn exactly what treatment is
right for you. Our experienced professionals will evaluate
your situation and recommend solutions based on your test results.
Do I need whole house or drinking water treatment?
A whole house water
treatment system helps protect your plumbing and appliances
from corrosion, staining and deposits. Kinetico systems
are powered by a patented non-electric Turbine and use countercurrent
regeneration – regeneration from the bottom up – for
greater efficiency and a longer lasting filter.
Because drinking water is vital to good health, our customers
often choose to refine their water further with specialized filters. Kinetico’s
residential product line offers approximately 27 different systems
to solve contaminant, space and configuration issues, including
reverse osmosis drinking
water systems and combination systems.
